N.J. teacher directed child to perform sex acts on video, prosecutor says
An elementary school teacher arrested last month in Gloucester County on charges of possessing and distributing child sex abuse materials has now been charged with directing a child in another country to perform sex acts via video.
James M. Adams, 50, was charged after detectives executed a search warrant at his Washington Township home in June. Adams is a third-grade teacher at Dr. William Mennies Elementary School in Vineland and is suspended because of the charges.
During a hearing on Tuesday, a judge ordered Adams’ pre-trial release, but barred him from unsupervised contact with children and from access to the internet.
By request from the judge, Adams’ wife agreed to monitor his compliance with the release conditions and report any violations.
Every criminal must be punished and every innocent must get justice.
