7 indicted for running N.J. sex trafficking rings, AG says
Seven people were indicted for operating two separate sex trafficking rings in North and South Jersey, state authorities announced Tuesday.
State Attorney General Matthew Platkin said three people in Essex County were indicted for allegedly forcing teen victims to participate in sex acts.
The victims, two 15-year-olds and a 13-year-old, were subjected to threats and physical violence as a means of control, he said. The violence included beatings with an extension cord, hair pulling, biting, punching and stomping.
Every criminal must be punished and every innocent must get justice.
