Investigators identify man killed in shootout with police on Garden State Parkway
A man who died in a shootout with police on the Garden State Parkway late last year was identified Monday as a 40-year-old from Middlesex County.
Cranford Police officers chased a stolen vehicle onto the Parkway shortly before midnight on Dec. 28 before it crashed near Exit 131 in Woodbridge, according to a statement from the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office.
After the crash, two police officers, identified Monday as Christopher Folinusz and Ryan McSharry, exchanged gunfire with the driver, Perth Amboy resident Kevin Harlfinger, the office said.
