Police: Summit shooter arrested, faces multiple charges including attempted murder
Summit police arrested a 33-year-old Irvington man Saturday in connection to a shooting in Summit that left a man in critical condition.
They say Jaime Tapia-Lobos was charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
The incident happened in the area near Park and Ashwood avenues around 8:30 a.m.
According to Summit police, witnesses reported that “the suspect and two other unidentified males were standing on the sidewalk near 103 Park Avenue.”
